I Visually inspected the Mark 3 shear walls requiring special inspection as noted below.
Locations: 25' wall at Level 1 and 10'0" wall at level 2 along 3 line; (1) S'O" and (1) 13'6" balloon framed
walls along 1 line.
Sheathing: 3/8" category 1, span rating 24/0 OSB.
Framing members: 3x P.T. sill plates, full ht. 6x6 at holdowns and panel edges at balloon framed walls
along 1 line and 2x stitch nailed at 4" o.c. staggered at panel edges at walls along 3 line.
Nails: 2-1/2"x.134 (8d) common collated gun nails. 10d at stitch nailing and 16D common at sill plates.
Nail spacings. 3" o.c. edge nailing and 12" oc. field nailing. Edge distances have been maintained, the nail
heads are flush with the surfaces of the OSB and there are no shiners.
Holdowns: Simpson HDU2 fastened per Simpson requirements.
Anchor bolts: 5/8" galvanized with 3"x3"x1/4" plate washers at 24" o.c.
Shear transfer hardware: Simpson A35/LTP4, per shear wall schedule for spacing. (V) MSTC40 straps at
plan locations.
Note: All components of the shear wall system meet or exceed plan call outs and CBC requirements.
No discrepancies were observed or noted.
