Dear Mr Diamond
This letter is regarding the Sign Permit for the Chevron Gas Station located at 1044
Carlsbad Village Drive We spoke on the phone today regarding the installation of the
monument sign without the approval of a sign permit The Sign Permit was approved on
September 10, 1993 and your office was notified that the permit was available to be
issued by the building department This sign permit reflects a different location that was
submitted because of sight distance problems with the original proposal The location
agreed upon by you and the City was five feet back from the property line, off Carlsbad
Village Drive, which allows for adequate sight distance and the plan reflects that decision
The permit is still waiting to be issued by the Building Department The sign should be
relocated to reflect the approved location as shown on the Sign Permit
