Dear Sir,
With regard to the subject plan check query. may we explain the
circumstances surrounding this particular aspect of the space to
fulfill the intent of the UBC in this regard.
The garage area comprises of a drive through bay with roll up doors
on the north and south faces. Consequently the space is like a
corridor with the prevailing winds passing through from south to
north. Since the facility is a "drive through", the roll up doors
must be open when cars enter the space.
We request you to review these requirements and authorize the
omission of ventilating equipment providing 1.5CFM per sq. foot.

Aen nonflamable supply cylinders for medical gas systems are located inride buildings, they shall be in a separate room or enclosure separated from the rest of the building by not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction. Rooms shall have at least one exterior wall in which there are not less than two vents of not less than 36 square inches in area. This notice is to inform you that with the adoption of the En& Pretreatment Ordinance,
you may be permitted as a Class 111 user. All waste oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, used
antifreeze, and so forth are specifically prohibited from discharge to the sanitary sewer
system. Degreasers and solvents must be controlled and prevented from introduction to
the sewer system. The inorganic oil and grease limit is 100 mg/l.
I understand that you operate a closed loop wash system. Encina needs to be made aware
of any waste being canied off the site even though it does not go directly to the sewer.
