After our telephone conversation of October 22, 1991, I spoke to the Principal
Building Inspector regarding your expired Building Permit Number 90 1667.
The city will require you to submit plans, receive permits, and have inspections of any
additions of the roof over hang, second story decks, and any stairways to the second
story, or any other proposed additions to the original construction of the house.
This matter has been ongoing since a stop work notice was posted on the job in
February 1, 1989. I have no recourse but to refer this matter to the City Attorney on
November 18, 1991 should you fail to submit revised plans to this office by the above
referenced date.

18.04.030
(C) That a fee equal to one-half the amount
required for a new permit be paid, except that
where construction has progressed and has
been approved to the point of requiring only a
final inspection, a fee equal to onequarter the
amount required for a new permit shall be
paid. A renewal permit shall expire three cal-
endar years from the date of initial permit
issuance.
3. PERMITS THAT HAVE EXCEEDED
THREE YEARS. For permits that have
exceeded three years beyond the issuance date,
a renewed permit may be obtained provided:
(A) Construction in reliance upon the
building pennits has commenced and been
approved.
(B) No changes have been made or will be
made in the original plans and specifications
for such work.
(C) A fee equal to the full amount required
for a new permit be paid, except that where the
building official determines that construction
has progressed to the point that a lesser fee is
warranted, such lesser fee shall be paid.
The maximum life of a permit renewal in
accordance with this subsection shall be one
calendar year from the date of renewal. The
permit may be renewed for each calendar year
thereafter provided that all requirements of
(A), (B), and (C) as stated in this subsection are
met.
4. EXTENSION OF AN UNE,XPIRED
PERMIT. Any permittee holding an unex-
pired permit may apply for an extension of the
time within which he may commence work
under that permit when he is unable to com-
mence work within the time required by this
section for good and satisfactory reasons. The
building official may extend the time for
action by the permittee for a period not
exceeding 180 days upon written request by
the permittee showing that circumstances
beyond the control of the permittee have pre-
vented action from being taken. No permit
shall be extended more than once.
5. The provisions of any sewer docation
system adopted pursuant to Chapter 18.05 of
this code shall supersede Section 303(d) of the
Uniform Building Code if the permit is issued
pursuant to such system.

18.04.035 Section 304(d) amended-
Expiration of plan review.
Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code
is amended to read:
Applications for which no permit is issued
within one year following the date of applica-
tion shall expire by limitation, and plans and
other data submitted for review may thereafter
be returned to the applicant or destroyed by
the Building Official. In order to renew action
on an application after expiration, the appli-
cant shall resubmit plans and pay a new plan
review fee.

the building permit fee for factory built housing
shall be twenty-five percent of the fee shown in
Table 3-A, and the plan check fee shall be sixty-

Compliance can be made by submitting plans and structural calculations to the Building Department and obtain proper approval and permit for the construction or remove all construction made without the required approval and permit.
