story (at least 48 inches in width) shall be
located at each end or as near thereto as
possible and comprise at least 25 percent of
the linear length of the wall, or provide

and rafters 12" or more in depth shall be
supported laterally by bridging at intervals
not exceeding 8 feet, unless both edges are
