DECKS
The location of decks is controlled by the Zoning Ordinance, the
association, or both.
It is also controlled by the Uniform Building Code as follows:
The posts supporting decks cannot be located closer than 3 feet
to the property line unless they are one-hour protected.
An example of one hour protection would be stucco applied as
required on a house.
