The property owner is acting as owner-buUder for the purpose of
constructing a pool and/or spa at /f188 bax, )/e::, C(ue.
The property owner is responsible for all work related to the
construction of a pool and/or spa at the above listed address. All
materials and equipment must be kept on site for the duration of
the project.
A Right-of-Way Permit may be required for the purpose of loading
excavated materials onto trucks parked in the street, or for
depositing sand on the sidewalk. If a sub-contractor requires the
use of the public right-of-way for any reason, he must apply for a
Right-of-Way Permit through the City of Carlsbad Engineering
Department. All requirements must of the permit must be met,
including obtaining the proper insurance, getting a Cash Security
Agreement with a $1250.00 deposit, payment of a non-refundable fee
of $35.00 and providing the City with an acceptable traffic control
plan. After the permit is approved, the permitee must contact the
inspection department for issuance prior to beginning work.
As property owner I certify that I have read and understand
above information and agree to comply with all City policies
ordinances relating to construction of a pool and/or spa.

TITLE lR.28.020 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code reauires that your
swimmin~ oool and/or spa be fenced. The fence shall be five feet
high and have self closing gates and latches with the latches at
least four feet above qrade. There shall be no openings in the
fence laraer than four inches. The fence must have an aoproved
final inspection from this deoartment prior to final insDection
of the pool.

This document will certify that I am aware of the provisions of the
California Administrative Code, Title 24, Section T20-1406(c),
"Swimming Pool Heating", as shown on form DPL #297. I understand
that neither a swimming pool building permit using a fossil-fueled
heater nor a plumbing/electrical permit for a new or replacement
fossil-fueled heater will be issued until this certification is
executed.

(site address) I certify that all of the allowing requirements for
fossil-fueled (or electric) swimming pool heaters will be met:
1. Outdoor pools shall be equipped with a pool cover.
2. ON-OFF switch on outside of heater to allow shutdown without
adjusting thermostat and start-up without relighting pilot light.
3. 36" minimum length of plumbing provided between filter and
heater to allow future solar installation.
4. After January 1, 1982, new heaters installed must have 75%
thermal efficiency.
5. Time· clocks installed to allow pump operation during off-peak
demand periods (unless pump used for active solar).
6 • Directional water inlets in pool for good mixing.
