Amendments to building permit and explanations
1) All nailing per table UBC 23-I-Q nailing schedule
2) Remove all built up roofing and cut off existing eaves to exterior walls
3) Leave existing plywood on roof and replace any weather damaged where necessary
4) Leveling of trusses to be accomplished with the aid of plates on exterior walls
5) Valley GI flashing
6) Slope" of roof 4/12
7) Pre engineered monotrusses at least 24 inches oc
8) 1/2 cdx plywood 32/16
9) 151b felt
10) All exposed caves to be sheathed with 1X8 starter board
11) Vents provide a minimum vent area 1/150 of attic area or 1/300 of attic area if at least 50% of the
required vent is at least 3' above eave or cornice vent per sec 3205 <a)
12) All vents and clumney to use GI flashing
13) Install at least R-30 insulation
14) Trusses to be held in place with Simpson A-35 @ 24" oc
15) 8d @ 6" oc thru roof sheathing into 2X4 block
16) Composition shingles
17) Roof nailing to be 8d @ 4" oc and 8" oc field
18) Ends to be covered with rough cut exterior siding to match exiting front of house and garage (Tl 11)
