1. Please show all conduit runs on the roof /or attic , show the lengths of the runs, this will
be used to determine the voltage drop for the 215 en phase inverters enphase allows a 2
percent voltage drop please check the enphase technical report.
2. Please provide A/C disconnects within site of the inverters which is required per the CEC
section 690.14
3. Please explain how the #10 conductor will be connected to the en phase inverter provide
a detail.
4. Provide a placard to the PV sub panel that states "No other loads to be added"

ELECTRICAL and ENERGY COMMENTS

ELECTRICAL (2010 CALIFORNIA ELECTRICAL CODE)
1. Please show all conduit runs on the roof /or attic , show the lengths of the runs,
this will be used to determine the voltage drop for the 215 en phase inverters
enphase allows a 2 percent voltage drop please check the enphase technical
report.
Maximum run from the dedicated PV Sub Panel is 72". Per EnPhase Tech Breif
the recommended distance to maintain no more than a 1% drop using lOga wire
is 87', therefore we are confident in our design. See drawing below
2. Please provide A/C disconnects within site of the inverters which is required per
the CEC section 690.14.
We always provide roof mounted AC disconnects in addition to the breakers at
ground level. These are already noted on plan PV1
3 Please explain how the #10 conductor will be connected to the en phase inverter
provide a detail
The #10 conductor from the sub panel running in the conduit will be connected to
the EnPhase engage cable in a suitable outdoor junction box The connection
will be made via wire nuts when not at the disconnect switch, othenwise the
connections will be made directly at the disconnect switch Please note that on
PV3 It IS stated that the #10 runs to the AC disconnect in a suitable outdoor
junction box
4 Provide a placard to the PV sub panel that states "No other loads to be added"
We always provide labeling at the PV subpanel stating
"Caution Solar Circuit" & "PV Sub Panel Only" All of our labeling is per code
and SDGE mandate Job specific plaques are already shown on PV2B
