Show or note that interior stair treads are marked at the upper approach and the lower tread of each stair, by a strip of clearly contrasting color, per Section 11 B- 504.4.1, as follows: At least 2" wide (but not more than 4" wide). Placed parallel to and not more than 1" from the nose of the step or landing. The strip shall be as slip resistant as the other treads of the stair. 3. Provide sections, details or notes to show that handrails are to be located ~34" but :538" above nosing of treads, per Section 11 B-505.4. Section 11 B-207.2. If lifts are provided, they shall be designed and constructed to facilitate unassisted entry, operation and exit from the lift. See Section 11 B-410 for specific requirements.
