on Parce]s 2and 3 of Parcel Map 12799 does not require a grading
permit.
Specifically, the fills .do not exceed 3 feet in height, the cuts
do not exceed 4 feet in height, the grading involved the move-
ment of less than 100 yards/8,000 square feet and the grading
does not adversely affect the existing drainage pattern.
With respect to mitigating any potential drainage issues, we
offer the following:
The existing cross-slope -is very flat (approximately 4%)
While the existing topography is such that drainage cannot
be directed toward Pine Street, there has been no diversion of
flow and the pad drainage has been released in such a manner
as to prevent erosion and concentrated flows onto adjoining
properties.

This report fox, for a "minor" grading project is to be completed and signed by the Registered Civil Engineer (or Architect) who has been designated on the Grading Plan and Permit as the Engineer who will furnish the compaction report for work authorized by a grading permit issued by the Department of Planning and Land Use.
Th. intent of the format is to provide Information to the )eoartment of Planning and Land Use as to grading compliance with the approved Grading Plan and ?ermit. ;here the questions below refer to location. configuration or quantity of cut and/or fill areas, it is understood that your response will not normally be based an an actual land survey or detailed earthwork quantity calculations. It should be noted-; however, that the Department is particularly concerned where there are possible infractions with respect to over-
steepened slopes, encroachments of required setbacks, uncompacted fills placed, or where the quantity of fill placed differs substantially from that authorized.
Th. Department of Planning and Land Use requires that all fills authorized by a Grading Permit be compacted to a,mininta of ,% of maximum density with the exception that not more than 12" of uncompacted and untested fills may be dispersed, over the land parcel. The need to compact all fills that are beyond the present limits of the present proposed construction is to insure that future proposed construction of room additions or swimming pools or similar structures will not require that uncompacted fills be removed or recompacted. or that extensive foundation work be installed.
Compaction reports will not be accepsed unless this form is completed and signed by the registered person.

4Carlsbad Unified School District

February 22, 1984
'Mr. Clarence Schiehuber, Chairperson,
and Members of the Planning Commission
City of Carlsbad
1200 Elm Avenue
Carlsbad, CA 92008
Attn: Mr. Martin Orenyak, Building and Planning Director
Reference: Double G. Investments
Gentlemen:
Our District has reviewed the proposed development of
two single family dwellings located at 1370 and 1380
Pine Street and has evaluated the impact of that project
on the facilities of this District.
The Governing Board wishes to advise the city officials
and residents of Carlsbad that, as residential units are
added to the community, it is likely that many classes in
the District will become crowded, resulting in possible
impairment to the educational and transportational services
offered to the students. It is also, likely that school
schedules may have to be changed, resulting in an increase
in the year-round program, or double-sessions, or both.
