Enclosed is documentation on the installation of four (4) electronic door hardware units
for an access control system for the company listed above.
The door units will include the following:
• One (1) CHMI hardware installation w/Securtron power supply unit (main
lobby entry)
• Four (4) Adams Rite series 8800 system panic devices (stairwell entries (2)
and rear double entry (2))
• One (1) 4AMP power supply unit for panic devices.(this is a plug in unit)
The "EL" function of the Adams Rite system will not be utilized for this installation. The
Securtron power supply unit for the CHMI installation will release the main lobby entry
hardware due to any power failure.

SMART TOUCH Bar for all-glass doors
On electrically locked, non fire-rated tempered glass
doors, architecturally sensitive storefront doors, and solid
core wood doors, most building codes require an exit
device that does not require any special tools or knowledge.
CHMI's SMART TOUCH bar is the perfect device for
this requirement. The simple act of touching the bar (even
through gloves or clothing) trips an electronic sensor which
immediately releases the lock.
