Provide irrigation to the front yard tree per plan requirements. 2. Remove all trash and debris from slope areas. 3. Existing grades shown to remain were modified outside the rear yard fence within sections A-2 and A-3. The contractor is directed to provide irrigation and planting in all graded areas and to provide fire suppression measures in all native slope areas per the Landscape Manual as follows: (It is recommended that the contractor obtain a landscape architect to provide planting plans insuring that appropriate low fuel plants are used.) Manufactured Slope Fire Protection (see Appendix F.2) Pertains to man-made slopes abutting high risk fire areas as described under Section JI C.1 Section A-1 -Measured horizontally 20' outward from the outlying edge of structure( s ). Landscaping in this area meets requirements of the Landscape Manual. Section A-2 -Measured horizontally 20' outward from the outlying edge of Section A- a. Planted with low water use naturalizing plant species known to have low fuel characteristics. b. No trees allowed. c. Irrigated. Landscaping in this area meets the Landscape Manual requirements. Section B-2-Measured horizontally 20' outward from the outlying edge ofB-1. a. Removal of "high fuel species" as listed in Appendix F. I. b. Removal by selective pruning ofup to 60% of the volume of the "moderate fuel species" as listed in Appendix F. I. c. Replanting with naturalizing low fuel species. d. Trees and large tree form shrubs (e.g. Oaks, Sumac, Toyon) which are being retained shall be pruned to provide clearance equal to three times the height of the surrounding under-story plant material or 6', whichever is higher. Dead and excessively twiggy growth shall also be removed. e. Irrigated. Section B-3 -Measured horizontally 20' outward from the outlying edge of Section B-2. The outer edge of B-3 shall extend horizontally to a point at least 60' from structures. a. Removal of "high fuel species" as listed in Appendix F. I. b. Install additional Gazania at 12" on center on the rear slope in areas per plan where voids exist. 4. Install vacuum breaker on all valves per plan requirements. 5. Install 12" pop-up sprinklers at the top of slope and insure the Rainbird SAM-PRS model is used per plan requirements. 6. Install check valves on any sprinkler where low head drainage occurs. 7. Repair broken lateral at the bottom of slope. 8. Install one additional sprinkler at the bottom of slope at the southwest end. 9. Remove all trash and debris from slope areas. I 0.
