Subject: Foundation Excavation Approval, Lots 1-4, La Suvera,
Redeemer by the Sea Project, Carlsbad, California
In conformance with your request, we have prepared this letter presenting our field
assessment of the foundation excavations for Lots I through 4 of the subject La Suvcra
Development.
We understand the foundation type is post tensioned with thickened edges. The base of
the exterior excavation for the thickened edge is into firm compacted fill and/or
formational sandstone. The excavation appears on the order of 18 inches depth and at the
time of field observation on June 6, 2005 was neat and clean of loose debris.
The excavations for Lots 1 through 4 are approved from a geotechnical perspective for
the placement of concrete.
