Tim,
It is our understanding at pian 4 that one of the fluor jdsts bears on the
wall at the fireplace, this Is not the same as the plan, but it does reduce the span.
Since the slab is post tension fr'rere is DO need fcv a footing at that location and
the truss can bear on that wall as long as there is blockirg each side.

RE: Request for approval of interior loft wall
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is to request the approval of the building department to construct a floor-to-
ceiling wall in lieu of an extended stair railing in the Plan 4 on Lot 77, Serenata (Aviara
Phase III, Unit 111, Map No. 13463).
The wall in question will be located at the top of the stair landing within the loft option
on the second floor (see attached floor plan exhibit). The owner has requested that we
replace the banisterhailing (which has open spacing between posts) with a floor-to-ceiling
2x6 stud wall, anchored into existing floor, ceiling and adjacent wall framing. This wall
will be finished with standard drywall and electrical receptacles will be added per code.
He is requesting this due to the fact that he has two very small children who will be
playing in this loft area, and he wants to ensure their safety.
As this detail is currently not shown on the approved plans, we are hereby requesting your
approval of this specific modification. Thank you for your consideration.
