April 10, 2016 City of Carlsbad Building Division 1635 Faraday Ave. Carlsbad, CA.92008-7314 RE-Building permit #CB 151659 I obtained building permit #CB151659 on 6-19-2015 to enclose an existing permitted patio cover structure. My expectation was completion in 90 to 120 days based on the delivery of special order doors and windows. The windows took 45 days to be fabricated and delivered. They were the wrong configuration and had to be returned. They custom door took 60 days to fabricate and deliver. It also was the wrong size and configuration. It was returned. The new door was also the wrong configuration and size and was returned a second time. This process took more than 6 months to complete. The third time was successful and the door was delivered on January 7. We have begun at that point to complete the infill walls per the plans and are nearing completion. I request an extension of the building permit for an additional 45 days to complete the work.
