Uniform Plumbing Code, Uniform Mechanical Code, National Electrical Code and state laws
regulating energy conservation, noise attenuation and disabled access. This plan review is
based on regulations enforced by the Building Department. You may have other corrections
based on laws and ordinances enforced by the Planning Department, Engineering Department
or other departments.

ELECTRICAL CORRECTIONS

1. The licensed designer must sign the approved set of the plans.
1. Show or note on the plans the method used to limit fault currents to 10,000 amps on
branch circuits OF THE NEW EQUIPMENT. NEC 230-208
2. Show on the single line diagram the conduit and wire sizes. Wires are indicated to be
installed in the air??
3. Include, on the single line diagram, the PV grounding electrode system: Conductor size,
connection termination locations, and routing. NEC 690-47
4. Rebar OR ground rods are not acceptable grounding electrodes for commercial
applications in the City of Carlsbad. Please specify "UFER" and describe what the
"UFER" ground will be. (footage, conductor material and size, depth in footing.)
5. Please specify the DC disconnect size shown on single line.
6. Specify on plans the AC overcurrent device should be positively attached to the
panelboard, the sole use of a stab-in connection will not be permitted. NEC 384-16(g)
7. Provide the module manufacturers DC maximum overcurrent protection device sizing,
note on the plans, and demonstrate how this protection is provided on the single line
diagram.
