Provide a statement on the Title Sheet of the plans stating that this project shall comply with the 2001 edition of the California Building Code (Title 24), which adopts the 1997 UBC, 2000 UMC, 2000 UPC and the 1999 NEC. 1. 2. Glazing in the following locations should be of safety glazing material in accordance with Section 2406.4 for door #2. a) Fixed or operable panels adjacent to a door where the nearest exposed edge of the glazing is within a 24-inch arc of either vertical edge of the door in a closed position and where the bottom exposed edge of the glazing is less than 60 inches above the walking surface. 3. Please clarify the section view of all new interior partitions. Show: a) b) Type, size and spacing of studs. Indicate gauge for metal studs. Specify manufacturer and approval number or indicate “to be IC60 approved“. Method of attaching top and bottom plates to structure. (NOTE: Top of partition must be secured to roof or floor framing, unless suspended ceiling has been designed for partition lateral load). Show height of partition and suspended ceiling, and height from floor to roof framing or floor framing. c) 4. Please provide plans and calculations signed by the California State licensed engineer or architect for the structural support of the 1250# rooftop air handler unit or copies of the original building design to show the roof structure adequate. Include all calculations and finding on the plans. Please include the California license number, seal, date of license expiration and date plans are signed. Business and Professions Code. 5. Please note on the plans “AC Cable is not allowed in A, B, E, H, and I occupancies. NM cable is restricted (without City approval) to one and two family dwellings.
