Provide a section view of all new interior partitions. In areas where the occupant load is at least 50 sales room 105, two exits are required. See Stores. Table 10-A. 3. Exits should have a minimum separation of one-half the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the building or area served. Section 1004.2.4. 4. If exit signs are required, provide the following notes on the plans, per Section 1003.2.8.2: a) Exit signs shall be located as necessary to clearly indicate the direction of egress travel. No point shall be more than 100 feet from the nearest visible sign. b) Exit signs shall be readily visible from any direction of approach. 5. Please provide exit signs directing the occupants to the required exits. Please show an exit sign at the opening between sales room 105 and front room 100 and between feature room 101 and sun room 102. 6. When more than one exit is required, the exit access shall be arranged such that there are no dead ends in hallways more than 20' in length. Section 1004.2.6. 7. Please provide plans and calculations signed by the California State licensed engineer or architect for the structural support and attachment of the stockroom shelving. Note that the doorways leading to sanitary facilities shall be identified, per Section 1115B.5, as follows: a) An equilateral triangle Y*" thick with edges 12" long and a vortex pointing upward at men's rest rooms. b) A circle "%" thick, 12" in diameter at women's rest rooms. c) A 12" diameter circle with a triangle superimposed on the circle and within the 12" diameter at unisex rest rooms. d) The required symbols shall be centered on the door at a height of 60". e) Braille signage shall also be located on the wall adjacent to the latch outside of the doorways leading to the sanitary facilities, per Section 1117B.5.7. 12. Show that accessible lavatories comply with the following, per Sections 1115B.2.1.2: a) When lavatories are adjacent to a side wall or partition, there shall be a minimum of 18" to the center line of the fixture to the wall. b) The counter top is <34" maximum above the floor. c) >29" high, reducing to 27" at a point located 8" back from the front edge. d) >9" high x 30" wide and 17" deep at the bottom. e) Hot water pipes and drain lines are insulated. 13. Show that grab bars comply with the following, per Section 1115B.8: a) They shall be securely attached 33" above the floor, and parallel. NOTE: Where a tank-type toilet is used which obstructs placement at 33", the grab bar may be installed as high as 36".
