The bracing of the top of the new nonbearing walls shown on sheet 11-2 and ref. to 5/11-5 exceed the max spacing of 6'-O". The plans still show that the unbraced length of the top tracks exceed 6'-O". You have revised the plans to limit the length of the corner brace but that was not the code violation. UBC 1611.5 requires that the wall resist 5PSF. This will limit the span of the top track. In lieu of the 6'-0" limit provide design calc's to show that the top track can span horizontally as shown and limit the defl. to 1J120. Please follow these guidelines: If the project is a newer development (newer than 1998), check the recent improvement plans and observe if the new irrigation service is reflected on the improvement sheets. If so, at the water meter station,,the demand in gpm may be listed there. Irrigation services are listed with a circled "I", and potable water is typically a circled 'W'.
