Re: Extension of Building Permit Application CB 96-1235
Dear Phillip,
The application for the above noted building permit at Arco Facility No. 5792 has
been extended to July 31, 1997 as a courtesy at your request. After that time, a
new plan check fee will have to be paid to reinstate the application. There will be
another one year term for that application beginning on the date the new plan
check fee is paid. Presuming the scope of work is approximately the same on
your resubmittal, the new plan check fee will be approximately $172.
When the City adopted the 1994 Uniform Building Code, the City adopted
modified language in Section 304(d) as noted in the plan check expiration letter
sent to you on June 2, 1997. The regular UBC plan check term is six months
with an allowance for an additional six month extension. The City eliminated the
extension process by simply making the entire plan check term one year. There
are no provisions in the Code for extensions on the term of plan check.
Please pass this information along to your client, and thank you for you patience
in awaiting this response. *
