SUBJECT: McClellan-Palomar Airport - Mission West
Plan Check #89030 for 3 Metal Hangars .
This letter is to inform you that the redevelopment of eight acres of
McClellan-Palomar Airport proposed by Mission West is in conformance with a
site plan approved by the County Department of Public Works. The site plan
boundaries are internal lease lines within, the larger parcel owned by the
County of San Diego.
The County has no plans to constructor allow others to construct buildings
between the southerly lease boundary of Mission West-and the airport's
southerly boundary (see attached plat). The future development of airport land
adjoining the Mission West lease parcel willbe subject to.future discretionary
review by the City. If, in the future, a building is planned for the subject
set back area the distance between any future building and the proposed Mission
West hangars will be required to meet City or County airport standards,
whichever Is more restrictive. .
The distance from the southerly airport boundary to the closest hangar as
proposed by Mission West is over 150 feet. I request that this distance be
used to calculate the required building standards for the proposed Mission West
hangar development. . . . .
