Submit three sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (two sets of plans for residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways: Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is complete. Each sheet of the plans must be signed by the person responsible for their preparation, even though there are no structural changes. Business and Professions Code. Please provide the listing and installation information for the glazed wall system on the second floor part of the rated lobby. Enclosed usable space under interior stairways should be protected on the enclosed side as required for one-hour fire-resistive construction. Please provide construction details. Section 1003.3.3.9. Please show the doors to the restrooms 131 and 132 to comply. Corridors shall have interior door openings protected by tight-fitting smoke and draft control assemblies rated 20 minutes. Doors shall be maintained self-closing or be automatic closing by action of a smoke detector per Section 713.2. Doors shall be gasketed to provide a smoke and draft seal where the door meets the stop on sides and top. Section 1004.3.4.3.2.1. Please provide the listing and installation information for the new glassrail or provide calculations to show it to provide the required strength. Glazing in the following locations should be of safety glazing material in accordance with Section 2406.4. a) Glass railings, regardless of height, above a walking surface (including structural baluster panels and nonstructural in-fill panels). Please provide construction details for the new shafts shown on T14.2. Please revise sheet IDI .1 to be consistent with the floor plans and show the new doors to swing in the direction of egress. If a room with an exhaust fan has a door opening into a rated corridor (restrooms 131 and 132), show how makeup air will be provided to the room. The door cannot be undercut, nor can a louver in the door be provided. Section 1004.3.4.3.2.1. Please provide complete plans and calculations for the new balcony. Show the new openings, floor adequate for the new loads, guardrail etc. Provide complete energy designs for the proposed changes in the envelope for the balcony. Provide the completed ENV-forms showing energy compliance. The completed and signed ENV-1 forms must be imprinted on the plans.
