Submit three sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (two sets of plans for residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways: .1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. · 2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320 Chesapeak~ Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until r~view by EsGil Corporation is complete. 2. Please revise the project data to show the scope ohvork to be the office improvement of 816 square feet and 400 square feet of site improvements unless improvements to the warehouse are part of the scope of i.vork? Please limit the plans and details to the scope of work. Is suite 103 a part of this submittal? Are the warehouses a part of this submittal? If not then strike out all details and plans. 4. Please provide plans and calculations signed by the California State licensed engineer or architect for the structural design of the ne1I.' openings in the exterior 11.1alls and the roof screening. Include all calculations and finding on the plans. Please include the California license number, seal; date of license expiration and date plans are signed. Business and Professions Code. Unable to locate the calculations for the roof screen. The beam in the calculations does not match the beam on the plans. Please limit the wall kicker spacing to 4' oc center. 6. Please provide construction plans and details for the new stairs. Are the stairs in the warehouse a part of this approval? Are the stairs on grade per the detail? 15. GFCI protected receptacle outlets are required within 25 feet of all mechanical equipment (heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment). Please show on plans. NEC 210.63. The outlet does not appear to be GFCI protected. 20. Show that stairways occurring outside a building comply with CBC Section 11338 as follows: Are the stairs in the warehouse a part of this approval? a) The upper approach and all treads shall be marked with a strip of contrasting color as follows: Unable to locate on the plans. i) ~2" in width. ii) Placed parallel to and ::51" from the nose of the step or landing. iii) The strip is required to be as slip resistant as the treads of the stairs.
