Esgil Corporation received the original plan set on October 19, 1984 and have previously found portions of the overall project to substantially comply with the codes, i.e. north foundation, south foundation, etc. The plan sets marked VIII are entire sets for the entire project and are in substantial compliance with the codes. The VIII sets supercede all earlier partial approvals. A few items remain to be addressed but they are not sufficient to defer clearing the project for permits i.e. a three hour vault is required for the transformers; and the return air system in the retail sales area will have to have fire dampers. It is envisioned that changes in the plans will occur during the construction period. It is suggested that minor changes be approved by the City Building Inspection staff. In instances where city staff deem it appropriate for Esgil Corporation to review other proposed changes, then such review will be accomplished in the usual manner i.e. plans or cut sheets should be sent via the city and Esgil Corporation will perform the review and charge our hourly rates for the personnel involved in the review. The project has been a challenge to all concerned due to the problems inherent in remodeling and expanding the facility. It was made somewhat easier by the cooperative efforts of all concerned. An exit at the southeast corner, not passing through the bag storage area would reduce the problem. A "man-door" in any security door at north end would provide a second exit. 8. These plans are suitable for the issuance of a partial permit for foundations and retaining walls only. Prior to the issuance of any partial permits, the attached 1'Request For Building Permit For Partial Building Construction11 should be completed and signed by parties indicated thereon; the document should be filed in Building Department files with a copy to Esgil Corporation.
