Submit three sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (two sets of plans for residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways: Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. Please provide a detailed description of the scope of work to be done under this permit. The plans indicate on sheet A2.1 storage and a shop not indicated in the application or in the scope of work on the cover sheet? Is this to be part of this permit? If part of the permit please provide the following: Revise the cover sheet scope of work to indicate all work to be preformed. A complete description of the activities and processes that will occur in this tenant space should be provided. A listing of all hazardous materials should be included. The materials listing should be stated in a form that would make classification in Tables 3-D and 3-E possible. The building official requires a technical report to identify and develop methods of protection from hazardous materials. Section 307.1.6. Provide an equipment list for the shop. Provide complete construction plans and details. Provide a section of the hanger. Indicate if an occupancy separation is required? If so provide complete plans and details. The following comments are the result of the scope of wok to the hanger. Please show the required outside air ventilation for the occupants of the shop. Section 1202.2 The hazardous material list indicates the use of class I, II and lIlA liquids that require exhaust ventilation per Section 1202.2.2. The electrical code requires the shop adjacent to the hanger be suitably cut-off or the shop must be considered a Class I Division 2 area. The door separating the shop and the hanger do not provide a suitable separation unless the shop is under positive pressure. The enlarged restroom plans shows the lavatory does not allow for the required 18" on the strike side of the door. Please revise the plans and provide fully dimensioned plans.
