RE: GRAHAM INTERNATIONAL PLAZA
PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD
Dear Mr. Peterson:
We have just learned about some of the A.D.A. requirements needed for our building and
will be employing Inter-Arch, Inc. to complete a full A.D.A. study on the four buildings on
our property.
Upon receipt of the survey we will attempt to remedy any existing problems to enable our
buildings to comply with the A.D.A. rules set forth.
As of this writing we are not aware of infractions of the code, so we cannot estimate the
timing to accomplish the A.D.A. survey or corrections; however, we will notify you of our
progress as the survey evolves.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me personally.

Plan Check No: 96-838
2121 Pallomar Airport R ad Bldg. #1
Dear Mr. Peterson:
Pursuant to your phone conversation with Donald Pitman this mornin , we are
addressing the exiting problem posed by the division of the floor plate In the
above referenced project who i there are two tenants.
As stated, the floor plate at 2121 Pallomar Airport Road does in fact n'eet the
1/2 of the diagonal distance between the two stair wells, and compile fully with
the stipulated code, however iipon division of this floor plate Into two Wants,
the 1/2 of the diagonal distancje cannot be achieved within the tenants suite.
We have in the past, and coninue to do so with this tenant, utilized a
compartmentalized theory precribed by the City of San Diego, where y we
have provided an exit door for1 every 3,000 square feet of tenant space , exiting
into the public one hour corridor.
We would like to adhere to this solution, and ask that we are granted a permit
for Motorola based this solution. if this meets with the City of Csrlsbas
approval, we ask that EEGs b contacted and a permit be issued for tl'tis tenant.
Please advise us of your decision as soon as possible in order for us to facilitate
a critical move-in date for Motorola.
Best Regards,
Penne Horn

INTEGRATION WITH
ACCESS CONTROL
Many applications call for controlled
entry from the outside of the door and
free egress from the Inside. Use of the
To.tLaar-as the egress device makes
this simple, safe and reliable. The TSB
has a double pole relay output. The NC
contacts are wired to directly break
power to the magnetic lock when the
bar is touched. The NO contacts
connect to the REX (request to exit)
terminals in the access system controer
so that no alarm event is created during
free egress. Extra safety is achieved
because in the event of a failure in the
access control system, the Touch Bar
will still directly release the lock.
REDUNDANT OPERATION
While the Touch tar features no-moving
-parts electronic reliability, it goes
beyond by- providing a second
independent release circuit. A push
button provides backup lock release
function in the event of any sensor
failure. This fits into the modern safety
engineering concept of eliminating the
possibility of functional failure if any
single device fails. it's another example
of the careful thought and concern for
user safety that has gone into the design
of the Touch Sense Bar.
