Report of Apparent Low Concrete Compressive Strength Test Results
Please find attached compressive strength test results (set 9252-9254) for concrete test samples
fabricated on August 12, 1998 during the construction of the subject project. Note that the
specified 28-day compressive strength of 2,500 psi was not attained. It should be noted that the
1994 Uniform Building Code in Section 1905.6.2.3 classifies concrete test strengths as
acceptable if:
a) the average of all sets of three consecutive strength tests equal or exceed f c; and,
b) no individual strength test (average of two samples) falls below f c by more than 500
psi.
We have reviewed all of the test results fiom this project and find that they do comply with these
requirements. We have tested the last sample at 56 days of age on 10/09/98 and recommend that
the design engineer evaluate whether fbrther testing of the in-situ concrete should be scheduled.

Time Arrived: 0700 Time Departed: 1530
Inspected the post-tension tendons, reinforcing steel, PA straps, hold down bolts, footings and slabs for the
house foundations located at Lots 453, 451, 450 and 449. The foundations are acceptable for concrete
placement. Lots 180, 181, 182 and 452 were inspected by Special Inspection Report dated 9/29/98.
Provided continuous inspection during the placement of concrete by boom pump and tailgate, for the house
Foundations located at Lots 180, 181, 1 82 and 453. One set of three concrete test cylinders and a slump
test was taken from each foundation slab.
Unless noted otherwise, the work inspected is, to the best of my knowledge, in compliance with the
approved plans, specifications and applicable sections of the governing building laws.
Time Arrived: 0700 Time Departed: 1300
'rovided continuous inspection during the placement of concrete for the house foundations located at Lots
$49, 450, 451 and 452. One set of three concrete test cylinders and a slump test was taken from each
ioundation slab.
