THE FOLLOWING LIST OF REQUIREMENTS MUST BE FULLY MET BEFORE THE INSTALLATION PROCESS OF ANY AT&T OPT-E-
MAN EQUIPMENT. NOTIFY AT&T WHEN REQUIREMENTS COMPLETE FOR VERIFICATION AND RELEASE FOR PROJECT TO
START. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THESE ITEMS COULD RESULT IN DELAYED SERVICE
^1) Power Rcouirements; The Cisco ME-3400-24TS OR ME-3400-12CS requires (I) dedicated
fused/breaker, 1S Amp, 110 VAC single phase circuit. This circuit must be a permanent circuit provided by
SDG&E or a UPS system and within 4 feet of AT&T Switch.-
[^2) Grounding Reanirements; Rack mounted equipment requires the rack being grounded to the closest build
ground wilii #6 wire or larger and a properly grounded 3 prong receptacle. Wall mounted installations require a
properly grounded 3 prong receptacle. I^Wall Mount CHRack Mount
1I]3) Environment fOPT-E-Man location): ITie customer shall provide a safe, secure, dust-fiee environment.
This location should be fiee of any major EFI/RFI fields. The OPT-E-Man equipment cannot be closer than 3'
from any primary source of power. The OPT-E-Man unit can be placed in either a 19"/23" rack, or can be wall-
mounted to a secure 4'x4'x3/4" plywood backboard. If the equipment is being placed during a period of new or
scheduled construction, the Fiber BlC Engineer from AT&T will determine if the location is suitable for
installation afier his initial site inspection. The engineer will determine at the time of the final inspection, prior to
the actual placement of the equipment, if the room is ready for the installation to begin. If the room is not ready,
the customer will be notified of the unsatisfactory items to correct.

iZl4) Conduit/Path (property line to MPOE): All conduits on the building's property are "subscriber
conduit" and are the responsibility of the property owner to maintain and repair. Ifthe conduit is blocked when
AT&T tries to place new cable, all work will stop until the property owner makes the necessary repairs. The
project will be on a "customer hold status" until the conduit is repaired and the engineer has been notified that
the repairs are complete. AT&T shall place inner duct/fiber liner within this section.
Note: EXISTING FTOER IN THE MPOE
• 5) Conduit/Path (fiber termination to OPT-E-Man location): AT&T requires tiie OPT-E-Man to be
placed in the MPOE. If there is no space in the MPOE, or if the customer requests that the ROUTER be placed in
their suite, the customer will assume the responsibility of providing the path from the MPOE to that location. The
customer shall provide conduit (1)-1.25" hard plastic corrugated inner duct with 3/8" mule tape(6001b-900lb)
through which the fiber will be placed. The size of the conduit will be dependent on tiie fiiture growth of the
customer. Any more than 300' or 2 - 90 degree turns in the path will require a pull box (18"xl 8"X6" minimum).
