Please make all corrections, as requested in the correction list. Submit FOUR new complete
sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (THREE sets of plans for residential projects).
For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways:
1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad
Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700. The City will
route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering and Fire
Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320
Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all remaining
sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department for
routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by the
City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is complete.
NOTE: The items listed below are from the previous correction list. These remaining
items have not been adequately addressed. The numbers of the items are from the
previous check list and may not necessarily be in sequence. The notes in bold font
AND CAPS are current.
2. The plans show you intend to remove a stairway from the 2nd floor. Provide a detailed exit
plans for the 2nd floor showing that one exit stair is sufficient for the 2nd floor.
The response directs me to the 2nd floor exit plan on LS1 .1. From what is shown the
occupant load of this floor exceeds 29 and the common path of travel exceeds the
100ft. See CBC Tables 1014.3 and 1021.2(2). This floor level requires two code
complying exits. THIS ITEM STILL APPLIES. THE COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL AT THE
REVISED 2ND FLOOR EXCEEDS 100 FT. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE CODE.
CBC 1014.3 & 1021.2(2).
8. Where special inspection is required, as listed on sheet S-3.0, the designer shall complete the
city's "Special Inspection Agreement" and submit to the city prior to permit issuance. This must
be completed and returned to the city prior to permit issuance. THE STRUCTURAL
PLANS SHEETS 51 .0 THRU 53.0 WERE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PLANS, THERE WAS

All,
Typically, the underground plumbing is the first phase of construction since most of the framing can't be done until the
trenches are backfilled and poured. From the checklist you may have an issue with minimum facilities. Please have your
plumbing contractor give me a call to discuss. Also please send me a copy of the contractors projected critical path and
schedule. You may get started on the demolition and staging with a demo permit.

HiWill,
I am following up on the voicemail I left regarding 2220 Faraday Ave Ste #150 PC #14-1263. I have attached EsGils's plan
review for your reference.
As you will notice, EsGil is requiring plumbing plans and calculations for the proposed changes. The changes we will be
making are replacing the existing bathroom fixtures with new (we will not be reducing or adding to the amount of
existing fixtures), replacing break room sinks/faucets and adding new water drinking stations.
Unfortunately, we do not have access to the necessary information readily available for us to prepare the requested
drawings. Since time is of the essence, we are asking if the City of Carlsbad will allow us to defer the plumbing drawings
as this may take several weeks for us to gather this information. If acceptable, we can provide a note on the first page of
our architectural drawings.
We appreciate your understanding and feel free to contact me on my cell phone at 630-520-4847 with any questions
you may have.
Thank you,
We moved/ Our address and phone numbers have changed; click the vCard fink below to update your records.
