list. Submit three sets of plans.for commercial/industrial projects (two sets of plans
for residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be
submitted in one of two ways:
1. Deliver· all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad -Building Oepartment, 1635 Faraday-Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760)
602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad
Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation,
9320 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468 ..
Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports dire~tly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire
Departments.
NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be
reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by
EsGil Corporation is complete.
2. A com.plete description of the activities and processes that will occur in this
tenant space should be provided. A listing. of all hazardous materials should be
included. The materials listing should be stated in a form that would make
classification in Tables 307.7(1) and 307.7(2) possible. The building official may
require a technical report to identify and develop methods of protection from
hazardous materials. Section 307.7. The response sheet indicate the use of a
Class 18 flammable liquid,··please provide a list of all materials, quantities
and there storage location.
3. Please provide the UL listing and manufacturer's installation information for the
new Heat Chamber to be installed. Show all electrical requirements, exhaust or
mechanical requirements, operational weight, anchorage and seismic restraints if
requir~d ~tc, Section 107 .2. Please provide the UL listing and
manufacturer's installatioh information for the new Heat Chamber to be
installed. Imprint on the plans the manufacturer's name and model number
of the oven to be installed .

Deliver all remaining sets of plans ·and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department for routing to.their Planning, Engineering and Fire

NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be
reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by
EsGil Corporation is complete.
1. Please provide a statement on the Title Sheet of the plans to show compliance
with the current Codes. The following are the correct current Codes:
a) The 201 0 edition of the California Building Code (CBC) aqopts the 2009

2. A complete description of the activities and processes that will occur in this
tenant space should be provided .. A listing of all hazardous materials should be
included. The mat~rials listing should be stated in a form that would make
classification in Tables 307.7(1) and 307.7(2) p·ossible. The building official may
require a technical report to identify and develop methods of protection from
hazardous materials. Sei;tiqn 307.7.
3. Please provide the UL listing and manufacturer's installation information for the
new Heat Chamber to be installed. Show all electrical requirements, exhaust or
mechanical requirements, operational weight, anchorage and seismic restraints if
required etc. Section 107:2.

4. Please have the document author of the LTG-1-C form sign the imprinted
document.
5. Provide mecha.nical plans, showing existing and proposed HVAC_equipment,
ducts and access to equipment for rooms 123 and 124.
Note : When alterations, structural repairs or modifications or additions are made to an
existing building, that building, or portion of the building affected, is required to comply
with all of the requirements for r.iew buildings, per Section 11348.2. These requirements
apply a~ follows:
a). A primary entrance to the building and the primary ·path of travel to the
altered area, must be shown to comply with all accessibility features.
6·. At least one in every 8 accessible parking spaces (but not less than one) shall be
served by an access aisle :2:96" in width and designated as VAN ACCESSIBLE,
per Section 11-298.3.2. ·
7. The words "NO PARKING" shall be .painted on the ground within each loading and
unloading access aisle (in white letters no less than 12" high and located so that it
is visible to traffic enforcement officials). Section 11298.3.3.
8. If the accessible path of travel from the accessible parking crosses a vehicular way
a'nd the walking surface is not separated by curbs or other elements, per Section
11338.8.5, a detectable warning is required :
a) ~36" in width.
b) Only approved DSA/AC detectable warning products and directional
surfaces shall be installed.·

This facility is primarily an Engineering R&D and sales facility. Activities and process for office area is routine office
activity. Most of the development work is software and CAD design work, but we do test and make modifications to
Printed Circuit Board Assemblies that have been manufactured at other locations. Activity and process for the work
room involves testing and rework of small quantities of these various prototype electronic circuit boards. The work room
includes 2 work stations for hand soldering and rework of small electronic circuit boards, Solder flux is used in small
dropper quantities in the hand soldering process. lsopropyl alcohol and flux remover are used for cleaning reworked
solder connections. These cleaners are dispensed using small cotton swabs. Dispenser quantities of these cleaning
materials out on a workstation at any given time are typically less than 8oz of each. Solder flux dispensers are typically
less than 2oz. Solder, flux and components used are RoHS compliant.
