This. separation is not required under Section 508.3 if the allowable bldg arera is based on "NonSeparated" use. It appears that based on the size of the building with automatic fire sprinklers that a nonseparated use might wo~k. 3. If you choose to separate the.A-3 occqpancy ( Rooms 222 & 221 from the remaindere of the bldg the fire separation must include the floor as wells and the separating walls. Detail on the plans the 1 HR construction of the-existing floor system. 4. If you choose to separate the A-3 occupancy ( Room 221 & 222) from the remaining 'B' occupancy the doors within the 1 HR fire barrier per section 508.4.4.1. The walls appear to comply but the doors in the fire barrier walls must be ¾ HR rated per CBC Table 715.4. This applies to the 'E' doors as wells as door types 'A' & 'C'. 5. The employee lounge occupant load should be based on 1:15 per CBC Table 1004.1.1 ( Assembly unconcentrated use). This room requires two exits. You show on sheet A-0.4 p[assign troµgh the Board Rm '222' 6. The door opening into the Board room is a sliding door system type 'F'. Exit doors serving more than 1 O occupants must be swinging doors. CBC Section 1008.1.2. · 7.
