K The purpose of the inspection was to investi- gate the footing at the area of slab removal. Observations were made of the excavation in the area of the footing. The area was probed to determine the extent of the existing footing for the column in the adjacent wall. The foot- ing was found to extend about two feet from the column. The plumbing lines did not interfer with this footing. It is my opinion that the existing footing is sound and function- al. I would recommend that the dirt be removed from over the footing and that the new slab be placed neet to the footing. Thank you for this opportunity to be of service. Please call if there are any questions or if I may be of further service.
