The controller circuits measure PROPORTIONAL (amount of offspeed), INTEGRAL (time of offspeed) and DERIVATIVE (rate of change of offspeed) to ensure optimum perfor· mance. · The controller electronics are environmentally potted pro· viding protection against the various liquids and vibrations associated with engines. This makes the unit suitable for panel or engine mounting. It is easy to adjust, having only speed and gain adjustments. Precise monitoring of the battey's voltage J automatically activates the correct charging mode. The charge rate is limited and controlled to efficiently f and safely maintain ideal battery 1 levels under varying conditions. 12AMP • Compact and lightweight design. Our automatic equalizer system uses a control circuit to limit charging current to 1 o amps. maximum battery charge is 2.30 volts per cell, or 13.8 volts for a 12 volt battery and 27.6 volts for a 24 volt battery. When battery voltage drops beyond a pre-set level below its maximum charge, charging current increases to 5 amps, then to the 10 amp bulk charge rate .if needed to reach optimum levels. Safe1 Accurate Charging When the battery reaches maximum charge, this high-performance charger switches to its equalize mode. Charging current is allowed to taper off. At 2 amps, the charger shifts to float mode. Just enough current is supplied to maintain the battery at or above 13 (or 26) volts. Battery voltage must be above 11 (22) volts before charging begins, and maximum open circuit voltage is 17.5 (35) volts.
