, Please make all corrections, as requested in the correction list. Submit FOUR new
complete sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (THREE sets of plans for
residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one
of two ways:
1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-
2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning,
Engineering and Fire Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320
Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, Sari Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all
remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building
Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by
the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is
complete. These corrections are in response to items not fully addressed or as the
result of information provided, the text in bold print indicates the unresolved
issue.
Advisory Note : When alterations, structural repairs or additions are made to an
existing building, that building, or portion of the building affected, is required to
comply with all of the following requirements, per Section 118-202.4:
• The area of specific alteration, repair or addition must comply as "new"
construction.
• A primary entrance to the building and the primary path of travel to the
altered area, must be shown to comply with all accessibility features.
• The path of travel shall include the existing parking.
• Existing toilet and bathing facilities that serve the remodeled area must be
shown to comply with all accessibility features.
• Please address the following comments that are the result of the alterations.
6. It is obvious from the plans the restroom servicing the tenant improvement is not
disabled accessible, please provide a dimensioned restroom plans showing the
restroom to be accessible compliant. The accessible stalls the door must be
diagonal from the water closet CBC 118604.8.1.2 .No response
7. Show a level area, or landing, per Section 118-404.2.4:
a) ~60" in the direction of door swing. The restroom doors, also the men's
accessible stall door appears to have a obstruction not allowing the 5 feet

Please make all corrections, as requested in the correction list. Submit FOUR new
complete sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (THREE sets of plans for
residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted
in one of two ways:
1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760)
602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad
Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation,
9320 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468.
Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire
Departments.
NOTE: Plans that ate submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be
reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by
EsGil Corporation is complete.
1. No wiring is permitted on the roof of a building and wiring on the exterior of a
building requires approval by the Building Official. (City Policy)

Advisory Note : When alterations, structural repairs or additions are made to an
existing building, that building, or portion of the building affected, is required to
comply with all of the follbwing requirements, per Section 11 B-202.4:
• The area of specific alteration, repair or addition must comply as "new"
construction.
• A primary entrance to the building and the primary path of travel to the
altered area, must be shown to comply with all accessibility features.
• The path of travel shall include the existing parking.
• Existing toilet and bathing facilities that serve the remodeled area must be
shown to comply with all accessibility features.
• Please address the following comments that are the result of the alterations.
5. Show on the site plan the complying disabled accessible path of travel from the
disabled accessible parking spaces to the primary entrance of the tenant space.
Please provide detailed plans of the path of travel, indicate slope and width, any
pedestrian ramps, curb ramps, walks, handrails, provide dimensioned parking
stall details etc.
6. It is obvious from the plans the restroom servicing the tenant improvement is not
disabled accessible, please provide a dimensioned restroom plans showing the

7. Show a level area, or landing, per Section 11 B-404.2.4:

8. Please provide the details for the showers on the plans per the CBC 11 B608 show
all dimensions and locations of the associated parts

2. GRADING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS
The conditions that require a grading permit are found in Section 11.06.030 of the Municipal
Code.

All installed indoor lighting shall be equipped with controls that meet the applicable Shut-OFF control requirements in Section 130.l{c).
Lighting in all Daylit Zones shall be controlled in accotda·nce with the requirements in Section l~O:l(d) and daylit zones are shown on the pl,ms.
Lighting power in buildings larger than 10,000 square feet shall be capable of being automatically reduced in response to a Demand Responsive Signal in
accordance with Section 130.l(e).
Before an-occupancy permit is granted for a newly constructed building or area, or a new lighting system serving a building, area, or site is operated for
normal use, indoor lighting controls serving the building, area, or site shall be certified as meeting the Acceptance Requirements -for Code Compliance in
accordance with Section 130.4.(a). The controls required to meet th1:: Acceptance Requirements include automatic daylight controls, automatic shut-OFF
controls, and demand responsive controls.

Please make all corrections, as requested in the correction list. Submit FOUR new
complete sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (THREE sets of plans for
residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted
in one of two ways:
1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760)
602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad
Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation,
9320 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468.
Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire
Departments.
NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be
reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by
EsGil Corporation is complete.
1. Please provide the P1, P2, P3 electrical panel schedule's on the plans.
To speed up the review process, note on this list (or a copy) where each
correction item has been addressed, i.e., plan sheet, note or detail number,
calculation page, etc.
