Gentlemen:
We are forwarding herewith structural calculations for the alternate tie
strap connection at the tilt-up wall at the north side of Building "B"
due to the fact that the purlin anchors were improperly located in the
original tilt-up panels. Please retain these for your records.
Very truly yours,

Re; T.H.N. Polomar Offices Building
Dear Rix;
This letter is in reference to the mechanical units on roof of the
above referenced project.
The mechanical units weigh 1,925 Lb. each and are to be directly lo-
cated on each cloumn location. Therefore it does not create any
additional flexural stresses to the glu-lam beams. However, it induces
more load to the footing which is critical at columns on grid line "B"
of the Building "B".
The total load including mechanical unit is 39.3 kips (37.3k + 2k) and
the capacity of 3'-6" square footing is 40.4kips(3.5 x 3.5 x 3.3ksf)
which is larger than 39.3 kips. Therefore existing footings are
adequate for the additional load from mechanical units.
Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please call me
at your convenience.

Carlsbad Municipal Water District
Dear Mr. Green:
This letter is to confirm our telephone conference of yesterday at
which time the undersigned advised your Department that the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District will provide public water service to this
proposed project. We have had one meeting already with Mr. Paul M.
Thomas, Jr., representing the development firm of Thomas-Hensey-
Nicol Company, and we have an understanding that the engineering
consultants for the project will submit to the District and to the
City Fire Marshall a proposed public water system 1 ayout which will
meet the needs of the project.
We have advised you that the District has no objections for the City
of Carlsbad to issue a building permit for commencement of the project
and we shall advise you at such time the entire public water system
is completed and occupancy can be granted.
Please contact Mr. F. J. Uhitley or the undersigned if you have any
questions.
Very truly yours , /
