Our comment is based on a visual inspection by us of the readily accessible areas of the structure, photographs provided by you during construction, and observations of exposed areas during the retrofit process. I, Michael W. Devine, certify that the as-built concealed portions of the construction are consistent with the approved plans and specifications and the current adopted California Building Codes. Please note that Devine Engineering did not play a part in the original engineering design for the structure mentioned herein and did not perform structural observation during its original erection. Devine Engineering was contracted by Mr. Ross to produce structural calculations and revision instructions to this existing structure to ensure that ii is compliant with current California Building Codes. Our visual inspection on February 10, 2009 revealed that this structure appears to be consistent with the approved plans and specifications provided by Devine Engineering and the current adopted California Building Codes.
