On the first sheet of the · plans indicate: Type of construction of the existing building, present and proposed occupancy classifications of the remodel area and tbe occupant load of the remodel areas and tbe floor where the tenant improvement is located. Provide a note on the plans indicating if any hazardous materials will be stored and/or used within the building which exceed the quantities listed in UBC Tables 9-A and 9-B. A complete description of the activities ;md processes that will occur in this tenant space should be provided. A listing of all hazardous materials should be included. All process wastewater must meet the industrial waste discharge standards-as set forth in the Pretreatment Ordinance adopteq. by the Encina Wastewater Authority April 25th, 1990. The application must be completed and returned to the Engineering . Department pri_or to building permit issuance. An incomplete application may delay approval. of your building plans. The completed application will be reviewed and forwarded to. the Encina Wastewater Authority and, if necessary to the San Diego County Department of.Public Works for further evaluation. At this time a determination will be made as to whether further investigation will be required. If pretreatment is required, a Wastewater Discharge Permit application will be issued by either staff at Encina or the Engineering Department planchecker. Please call the City of Carlsbad at 438-1161, extension 4324, or the Encina Wastewater Authority at 438-3941, extension 3713 if you need further information about . this permit. Copies of the Sewer Ordinance and the Pretreatment Ordinance are available upon request ..
