· In reviewing the attached list of fees with Owner and yourself via phone, it appears that the
quantity of sewer and water E.D.U's needed to be looked into. It appears the exiting/occupancy
calculation (per the UBC) was used for determining the number of occupants. This, in turn, was
inadvertently used as the."seating" criteria which established the number of E.D.U.'s. However, the
seating area defined on the drawings in only + 250 s.f. Md per the Owner's seating layout, ·will only
accommodate 20 seats which we have now shown on the drawings). At the current rate of 1
E.D.U./21 seqts, or portion thereof, the plan yields only 1 E.D.U. over the base ;rate.
· Carter, the base. rate of 2.67 E.D.U. for Restaurants/Deli's is a severe burden for smaller
operations like this one .. They only serve lunch and snacks and are only 1,227 square feet. That's
over $8/S.F., just for the starting initial base rate E.D.U.'s. Currently, the proposed fees are over
$2$/S.F.. The Owner had asked if there js any opportunity for the base rate E.D.U. to be re-
evaluated with respect to his small use. Could' you give us some direction? ··,
Piease find attached the revised plans, showing the seating arrangement as well as the seating
calculation. This should reduce the additional E.D.D/s to one. Please call myself or Rob Bilbro·
