The fireplace will be fully enclosed. The gas hookup will be through the ceiling above the fireplace from a half inch pipe that is already installed in the attic. The electrical hookup for the manual control switch will be from a 110 volt receptacle that is already installed in the immediate area of the project. The unit will be new, and will be purchased from a licensed distributor of the product. The distributor is Fireplaces Plus, Encinitas, Ca. Phone 760-436-5343. We spoke with Rick Patterson who is the owner. As an owner/builder we have experience in all phases of construction. Throughout our lives we have remodeled many homes that we have owned. He was very helpful in giving us general information regarding permits within the City of Carlsbad.
