Three recent visits were made to the subject site to review the existing exposed framing prior to
repairs, to brief the contractor on the design intent based on the exposed condition. and to observe
the installation of the structural elements in accordance with Code requirements for Structural
Observation.
At the time of our initial site visit, the existing roofing and sheathing had been removed from the
area to be repaired and smoke damaged framing had been sealed with a paint primer. After the
initial site visit, a second site visit was conducted to review sheathing and shear transfer nailing and
clips at the existing cripple wall located over the central demising party wall, which would be
inaccessible after the roof sheathing was installed. A third site visit was then made to observe the
roof sheathing installation and nailing prior to roofing. In general, all the observed work appeared
to be in conformance with the intent of the structural repair plans prepared by this office.
