Permit is issued. ter made an inspection and determined that the
two hour wall was located incorrectly on the plans, and the applicant
submitted new plans shewing it in the proper location
THE PROBLEM: Building was built in 1978. We do not have plans.
If it is a two hour wall, the opening should be shown as a 1-1/2 hour
assembly, and there should be a parapet. (No parapet is shown).
If a two hour wall is rot required at that location, maybe it was just
the architect's idea.
Who knows:
Plans will be back froir Esgil late today.
The only way we will resolve this is for a field decision to be made.

Businesses which handle, store, or dispose of hazardous substances will be required to provide a chemical inventory and a basic emergency
response plan before a certificate of occupancy can be issued. This plan called a "Business Plan" will become a valuable tool aiding
you, your employees, and emergency responders should an emergency occur at your business.
Certain hazardous substances called "Acutely Hazardous Materials" may require a more detailed emergency response plan known as a "Risk
Management and Prevention Plan" (RKPP). If your business handles Acutely Hazardous Materials and will be located within 1,000 feet of
the outer boundary of a school (K thru 12) you may be required to prepare an RHPP before a building permit can be issued.
A definition of hazardous substance* and a list of Acutely Hazardous Materials are available at the Hazardous Haterials Management
Division (HKHD) or your local building department. To determine if your business needs to submit an emergency plan, please complete
this questionnaire.
