The autoclave is used for cleaning and disinfecting empty bottles and containers using steam. The room will be moved to an area that has been previously used for offices. Therefore the occupancy will change from B to F-1. The sprinkler requirements will change in Building 2, Autoclave Room, as follows: Current Requirements: Light Hazard Occupancy 0.1/1500 plus 100 gpm hose demand Requirements Based on Change: Ordinary Hazard Group 1 0.15/1500 plus 250 gpm hose demand Based on information provided by West Coast Fire Protection, the design density within the room was previously overdesigned to Ordinary Hazard Group 1.
