Submit three sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (two sets of plans for
residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of
twqways:
1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700.
The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbc;1d Planning, Engineering
and Fire Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320
Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all
remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building
Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by
the City Planning; Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is
complete.
These corrections are in response to items not fully addressed or as the result of
·information provided, the text in bold print indicates the unresolved issue.
1. Each sheet of the plans must be signed by the person responsible for their preparation,
even though there are no structural changes. Business and Professions Code. All
sheets of the plans must be signe~,
6. Please correct the plumbing isometric to show the connection of the hand sink in _the
service area. The hand sink must be a direct connection to the sanitary waste
system. Please correct the plans.
7. Please correct the gas line diagram the gas system is undersized. Please provide gas
line calculations. Please correct the gas line plans to be sized per the standard trade
sizes shown in Table 12-8.
9. It appears the lighting system is to be altered, if so please provide complete plans.
Please provide the required energy compliance forms. The· LTG forms shall be signed
and imprinted on the plans. Sheet A-1 shows the existing lighting fixtures and sheet
A-2 shows the addition of new lighting fixtures therefore energy documentation is
required.
11. Shmv that the minimum strike edge distances are provided at the level area on the side to
which a door s1t'vings for the door to the restroom corridor, per Section 1133B.2.4 .3: The
door from the dining area to the restroom vestibule still does not show the correct
clearances.
