1. Footing excavations should be cleaned of loose debris and thoroughly moistened just prior to placing the concrete.
2. Based on the expansion potential of the underlying soils, presoaking of soil below slabs may be recommended. Consult the
geotechnical report for the presoaking recommendations. We note that clayey soils may take an extended period of time and the
contractor should schedule accordingly.
3. In the event of a site change subsequent to our footing observation and prior to concrete placement (i.e. heavy rain, a
construction/placement delay, etc.), we should be contacted to perfonn additional site observations, as necessary.
4. Line and grade of the looting excavation(s) are not part of the purview of LGC Valley, Inc.
5. Soil compaction test results, including depth offill, relative compaction, bearing values, and soil expansion index test results are
contained in the As-Graded Geotechnical Report provided at the completion of grading.
