char that the involved area has been getting hot for sometime causins the
supporting 1x4 behind the unit to burn thru to the outside where it qot an

department and Fire Marshal check this situation as soon as possible..

NOTE WHENEVER THE HEATER BOX 3160 EXTENDS BEYOND THE SURFACE OF THE WALL - AN EXTENDER OF THE AP- PROPRIATE DEPTH MUST BE USED. SEE SEMCRECESSED OR SURFACE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE OTHER SIDE, CORRECT OPERATION OF HEATER WiLL RESULT IF THE MOUNTING IN- STRUCTIONS ARE FOLLOWED.
1) Heater box 3160 is installed just like any ordinary Outlet box.
Use adaptor bracket supplied on either side of box to cornpen.

3) Mount Heater mechanism lo interior of box by inserting tabs of switch and thermostat brackets into slols in bottdm of box and swing top of hearer into box. Secure with the two screws provided.
4) Mount heater front to box 3160 using 1-518" sclews supplied.

1) The standard wail insert box 3160 should be set in the wall so
that the plaster frame is out from the finished wall adistance quai
2) Heater mechanism is installed and wired as in a recessed instaila- to the frame depth (1" lor a 1" frame. 2" for a 2" frame).
3) Sethi-recessing frame is 8ttached to heater front (slip fit) and front tion (on lront - see steps 2. 3 B 4).

AFTER INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE, DEPRESS RED BUTTON TO INSURE CONTINUITY BEFORE APPLYING POWER TO UNIT.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS Turn "HEATER. FAN. OFF" Switch to HEATER position. Turn ther- mostat knob iully clockwise. Allow heater to run until room is at desired temperature. NOTE: heater must run lor approximately 5 minutes before thermostat will control at desired Comfort level.
Turn thermostat setting counterclockwise until heater JUSTturns off.
THERMAL CUTOUT if lor any reason temperatures increase beyond normal limits. safe. ty thermd cut-out will open de-energizing heating element and fan motor. Check entire installation to determine cause of overheating and after corrective measures have been taken, push thermal reset button on front panel to restore operation.

INSTALLING AN0 CONNECTING HEATER
Insert the two heater terminal wires through strain relief bracket
and t:e knot In wires as shown.
Spl~ce heater !ermlnal wires to supply lines in wall box. Attach
"J" bok cover to wall box with (21 two screws (supplied).
IMPORTANT: On 120 volt heaters. the white terminal wire must
be connected to the white supply line wire. Place heater in wall
box and secure ir place with four screws "C" as shown in drawing.
PositLon grille on heater and secure with two screws "D".
IMPORTANT: BEFORE TURNING ON POWER, BE SURE THAT CONTROL IS TURNED TO LOWEST SETTING.

On December 22, 1987, we issued a permit to you to repair
fire damage at the subject address. The work was finished and finally inspected on December 28.
A copy of the permit is attached. It is signed by William E William,'
Manaqer. The check for the permit was $64.50, signed by Edward J Miller.
On February 12, 1988 the check was returned insufficient funds.
Attempts to contact Edward J Miller have been fruitless.
Will you please send us your cashier's check in the above amount plus
payment. When a check is returned there is no permit. It can be
$10 handling charge. Part of the issuance of a building permit is its
reinstated in our files by makinp this check good.
