Per Section 1.9.1.2, all privately funded public accommodations and commercial facilities shall be accessible to persons with disabilities. Where existing elements or spaces are altered, each altered element or space shall comply with applicable requirements of Division 2, including CBC section 11 B-202.4. CBC section 11 B-202.4 states that when alterations or additions are made to existing buildings, an accessible path of travel to the specific area of alteration shall be provided.
