ADDENDUM TO COMMERCIAL PLAN CHECK SHEETS
C1. Show electric ground'as per City Code Section 18.12.240
Section 250-26(c) amended -- Grounding Separately Derived
Alternating -Current Systems. Secti-on 250.-26(c)-is amended
by the addition of the following after the first sentence.
"The primary grounding method shall be that which is refer-
red to as the "Uffer Ground" consisting of 20 feet or more
of #4 reinforcing bar or larger placed 3 inches up from the
bottom of the concrete footing'and #4 or .larger copper con-
ductor wrapped around the rebar to support the copper con-
ductor. The conductor may be required to be larger than #4,
depending on the conductor size per table 250-94. Aluminum
conductor is prohibited." Water piping to be bonded to th-e
