Re: Cut joist at Plan 2 Tech Room
At the rear of the Tech Room where the aligned joist is placed between the Kitchen and
the Morning Room, it is structurally acceptable to cut a 10" by 10" hole in the top of the
joist provided the hole is placed a maximum of 15" from theJnside face of the wall at the
rear of the Tech Room, The aligned joist is to have a minimum of 4" of bearing on the
wing wall at the rear of the Tech Room between the Ktcchen and the Morning Room,
Refer to the attached sketch for further clarification regarding thtf acceptable location
of the hole.
