The reference sheets are hard to read so some things may be on the plans, I am just unable to find them. I am having a hard time following how shear is being dragged now that the shear wall is removed. Provide connection details for the steel post. Provide weld information, and a detail for the welds being done. Provide a detail for the blocking. The plans shall indicate that special inspection will be provided for the following work. (CBC Chapter 17 and Section 107.2) a) Welding. Welding inspection should be provided in accordance with Section 1705.2. Additionally, complete the Carlsbad special inspection form. The wall being removed in the center of the page (gridline 3?), looks like it is providing some shear based on ref roof plan, please address. The structural sheet has several things referenced as new (N), are those all new? Or is it just the clouded areas? Please clearly show where work is being done. Show spacing for new wall sections.
